The fine print

Terms of service.

By creating an account or otherwise using ScriptLoop (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms of Service. ScriptLoop is provided on an “as-is” basis, with no warranties.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create or hold a ScriptLoop account. Our AI providers’ terms do not permit the account itself to belong to a minor. Once an account exists, the account holder may add household members — including minors — as profiles under that account, and those household members may use the Service under the account holder’s account and supervision. The account holder is responsible for household members’ use of the Service, including any content generated under their profile.

Song generation is for individual accounts only. Our music provider’s terms prohibit certain kinds of organizations — including religious organizations and institutions, and political advocacy or campaigning organizations — from using its music models. If you are using ScriptLoop on behalf of such an organization, you may use the voice and recording features but may not use song generation. Individuals (including pastors, teachers, and speakers acting personally) are welcome.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

  • Don’t upload content you don’t have the right to synthesize, including copyrighted scripts you don’t own a license to or material that violates anyone’s rights.
  • For song generation specifically, don’t submit: the name of any recording artist or songwriter, any song or album title, any record label or publisher name, or a recognizable portion of any existing song’s lyrics. These inputs are prohibited by our music provider’s terms regardless of whether you have a license.
  • Don’t generate audio that impersonates a real person, that is hateful or harassing, that depicts minors in sexual contexts, that is political campaign material, or that violates our AI providers’ usage policies.
  • Don’t attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent rate limits or automated content checks on the Service. Audio generation is rate-limited per plan (see Pricing for your plan’s hourly and monthly limits).
  • Script content is limited to 2,500 characters per script.

Your content — what you promise us

You represent and warrant that you own, or have all rights and licenses necessary in, any text you submit — sufficient to permit us and our providers to reproduce it, synthesize it to speech, adapt it into a musical work, store the resulting audio, and (if you choose to share it) distribute and publicly perform it. This matters more than it sounds like it does:

  • Bible translations. The KJV, ASV, and WEB are public domain in the United States and always safe. Modern translations (ESV, NIV, NASB, NLT, CSB, and others) are copyrighted, and their publishers’ quotation allowances do not cover setting passages to music, which is a derivative work. If you generate songs from a modern translation, obtaining permission from the publisher is your responsibility.
  • Speeches and other texts. Most famous 20th-century speeches are still under copyright. Text you wrote yourself is always safe.
  • Existing song lyrics are prohibited as song inputs outright (see above), independent of copyright.

You retain ownership of the text you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process your content solely to operate the Service — including sending text to our AI providers (Replicate, ElevenLabs, Google, and fal.ai, which hosts our default music model, MiniMax) for synthesis, storing the resulting audio in Cloudflare R2, and, for generated songs, transcribing the audio back to text through fal.ai’s Whisper model as an automated quality check.

Audio storage notice. Generated audio files are stored at a public, hard-to-guess URL on Cloudflare R2. Anyone who obtains the URL can play the audio without signing in. We ask you to acknowledge this in-app before your first generation, and we recommend you only generate audio for content you are comfortable having world-readable at an unguessable URL. You can rotate the URL at any time by regenerating the audio from the script’s detail page. See the Privacy Policy for details.

AI-generated audio — what you get, honestly

As between you and ScriptLoop, generated audio is yours, to the maximum extent our providers’ terms allow us to pass those rights through — and no further. Three honest caveats:

  • No exclusivity. AI models can produce the same or similar output for different users, and our providers expressly reserve the right to do so. We cannot guarantee any generated audio is unique to you.
  • Copyright may not attach. Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance, purely AI-generated music is generally not copyrightable. Text you authored yourself remains yours and is protectable; the AI-composed music around it likely is not. We make no warranty that any generated audio can be registered or enforced as your exclusive property.
  • No infringement indemnity. Our providers do not indemnify us for generated output, and we do not indemnify you. You use generated audio at your own risk.

Generated songs may carry an imperceptible provenance watermark added by the model provider. Don’t remove, obscure, or tamper with watermarks or proprietary notices in generated audio, and don’t use generated audio to train AI models.

Using songs commercially

Personal use, performance, teaching, and ordinary sharing of your generated songs are fine. The following isn’t:

  • No use in film, television, radio, or video game productions.
  • No reselling or sublicensing songs as such, and no building a library, catalog, or repository of generated songs for the purpose of licensing or distributing them to others.
  • No distributing generated songs to music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, and similar) unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

Shared links

You can create a public share link for a script from its detail page. Sharing is your decision and your responsibility:

  • By creating a share link you confirm you have the rights needed to distribute and publicly perform the script text and its audio.
  • Share links are unlisted but public — anyone with the link can view the script and play its audio without an account. Don’t share confidential, personal, or third-party-owned material.
  • Don’t use share links as a distribution or monetization channel for generated audio.
  • You can revoke a share link at any time from the script’s detail page, which disables it immediately. We may also disable or remove any share link or shared content at our discretion, without notice.

Copyright complaints (DMCA)

We respond to copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content available through ScriptLoop (including a shared link) infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at [email protected] including: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) the URL of the allegedly infringing material; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the rights holder; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

We will remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice, notify the user who posted it, and accept counter-notices meeting the DMCA’s requirements. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify ScriptLoop and its operators against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from text you submit, audio you generate, content you share via share links, your commercial use of generated audio, or your violation of these Terms. This obligation survives account termination.

Third-party services

ScriptLoop relies on Neon (database / auth), Replicate and ElevenLabs (voice synthesis), fal.ai and MiniMax, Google, and ElevenLabs (music generation), fal.ai’s Whisper model (transcription of generated songs for quality verification), Cloudflare R2 (audio storage), Netlify (hosting), Sentry (error tracking), Stripe (payments), and RevenueCat (mobile purchases). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers’ terms, and the restrictions in these Terms that originate with a provider apply to the songs that provider’s models generated.

Service changes & availability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including switching AI providers. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, third-party outages, or other reasons.

Termination

You can stop using ScriptLoop at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, and we may remove content that violates them without any refund obligation for the removed content.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL SCRIPTLOOP OR ITS OPERATORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. YOUR INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATIONS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THIS CAP.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
